Hi there! We are the team behind SAFVE! It all started when one of us had to throw away a rotten lemon, then joined our meeting feeling frustrated because it always happens with him. We all could relate to this problem and we know that you can relate to it as well. Several experiments and interviews later, our hypothesis was confirmed; the biggest contributor to throwing away spoiled fresh food is the fact that people simply forget the products they have in their fridge.

Our solution is SAFVE, a mobile application that is designed to help you save fresh products. The app's functionality will be as follows; the user scans the receipt and the products are automatically added to the fridge. Afterwards, the app will start counting the days since the purchase date and it will provide you with notifications. You can read more about the application’s functionality here.

“Save the world by saving some money” is the biggest value we offer as a company. Our organization is helping the environment by not wasting resources and consuming products to the max, besides making the economic system healthy. Seeing this as a loss of one-third of the world’s food, we believe it’s time to use the world’s resources to the max. 

Our dream is to change small habits in people’s behaviour, by helping them throw out less edible food, which will ultimately result in a significant impact on the environment.

In the beginning, our goal is to focus on the Dutch market. Later in the future, we would like to expand and spread in Europe then hopefully introduce the whole world to SAFVE. But remember one person can make a difference, so choose to make a difference.
