What is SAFVE?
SAFVE raises awareness on food waste and focuses specifically on food wasted within our homes, via an app. The SAFVE app reminds its users of the food lying around the kitchen.
What makes SAFVE unique?
Both the idea and the way of using the app are easy as pie. Besides the fact that using the app saves the world, by ensuring you use the products in your fridge, the app also serves as a small digital fridge, helping you save money on unnecessary double purchases.
Can I add canned products?
No, SAFVE aims to remind you about the fresh products you have left in your fridge, divided into 4 categories; Fruit, Vegetables, Fish and Meat. If you wish to know the freshness of canned products, check the expiry/best before date!
How does SAFVE help me reduce food waste?
First through push notifications that remind you of the products that are about to become spoiled. Second, by preventing you from buying extra quantities.
How does the app work?
Simply download the app from the AppStore or Google Play, create an account and add your purchased quantities of fruit, vegetables, fish or meat by scanning the receipt or the barcode on the products. Then, adjust the quantities when you use part or all of it. Don't forget to activate the notifications!
Is the SAFVE app free?
How often am I going to receive notifications?
You can adjust the number of times in the notifications centre. You can choose between a day before the product enters a new coloured stage or every 2-3 days andd of course, you can choose daily notifications!
How can I download the SAFVE app?
The SAFVE app can be downloaded from both the AppStore and the Google Play Store.
